LaVerne Sease-Batie’s life experiences have led her to become an avid educator, parent coach, and advocate for parents and children. She is a native of Bridgeton, New Jersey. She is a wife, mother, author, parent coach, and school counselor. LaVerne is on a mission to help stressed-out parents improve their children's performance in school and get good grades. Also, she seeks to bridge the gap between parents and teachers by encouraging them to form partnerships to ensure students’ academic success! She is a graduate of Bridgeton High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Years later, she earned her Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Wilmington University, and later, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Administration of Human Services. She again went on to further her educational goals by earning a Master of Education in School Counseling and is currently a School Counselor at Quarter Mile Lane School. LaVerne worked at Tri-County Community Action Agency in various capacities for 10 years. Afterward, LaVerne transitioned into the Mental Health Field. She has over 13 years of experience working as a Case Manager for Community Treatment Solutions. LaVerne provided much-needed strategies and techniques to parents, which helped children build family connections and stabilize client placement within the home. One of her biggest accomplishments is becoming an author in (2020). LaVerne published her first book, titled "Growth Mindsets for Parents and Children." She wrote her book because she wanted to provide parents and children with the knowledge and strategies needed to embrace life challenges more effectively. As a school counselor, LaVerne believes parents play a significant role in shaping the mindsets of their children. She is focused and determined to provide parents with effective strategies to empower, inspire, and motivate themselves and their children to develop a growth mindset that will allow them to achieve their goals in life. LaVerne's most important possession outside of her family is her relationship with God. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
